Bangladesh, Sept. 2 -- The Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant is taking a major technical step toward integration with Bangladesh's national electricity grid, with the signing of an agreement to connect the plant's power transmission system to the National Load Despatch Centre's (NLDC) advanced SCADA/EMS control system.

The agreement was signed between the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission and GE Vernova to integrate essential transmission data and signals from Units 1 and 2 of the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant, as well as its 400 kV and 230 kV GIS substations, into the NLDC's SCADA/EMS system.
