Bangladesh, July 29 -- The reactor pressure vessel (RPV) has been successfully installed at Unit 2 of Egypt's El-Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), marking another major milestone in the construction of the country's first nuclear power plant. Installation of the reactor pressure vessel also marks the beginning of the countdown toward the unit's physical start-up and the future loading of nuclear fuel.

The installation ceremony was attended by Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev, Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Dr. Mahmoud Esmat. At the same time, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, delivered opening remarks.
