Bangladesh, Aug. 15 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is scheduled to attend the "Hridoye Dhaka 416" festival at Lalbagh Fort on August 29 as part of celebrations marking Dhaka's 416th anniversary and Dhaka Day.

Dhaka South City Corporation Administrator Bir Muktijoddha Md Abdus Salam announced the prime minister's participation at a press conference at Nagar Bhaban on August 13.

The August 29 program will include children's dance performances, an exhibition showcasing innovations by young scientists, a display of books on Dhaka and stalls featuring traditional Old Dhaka cuisine. The prime minister is also expected to plant a tree and tour Lalbagh Fort.
