Dhaka, April 4 -- The federal government of Pakistan has announced free public transport services across Islamabad for one month, aimed at easing the burden of rising inflation on residents.

The country's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi shared the development in a social media post, stating the initiative would begin from Saturday, April 4, and remain in effect for 30 days.

During this period, residents will be able to travel on government-operated buses free of charge. The government will allocate approximately PKR 350 million, equivalent to USD 1.25 million, to cover the costs of the relief measure.
