Over 57,000 Bangladeshi Hajis return
Bangladesh, June 17 -- More than 57,000 Bangladeshi pilgrims have returned home after completing Hajj 2026, with repatriation flights continuing in phases, according to official sources.
The Hajj Office said 57,422 pilgrims had arrived in Bangladesh by Monday since return operations began on May 30, following the completion of Hajj on May 26.
A total of 138 return flights have been operated so far by three carriers - Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Saudia Airlines, and Flynas Airlines.
Biman carried 24,499 pilgrims on 67 flights, Saudia transported 19,827 pilgrims on 50 flights, and Flynas brought back 8,380 pilgrims on 21 flights, officials said.
