Bangladesh, June 13 -- The Embassy of Nepal in Bangladesh has honored Bangladeshi mountaineer Nurunnaher Nimni for her successful ascent of Mount Everest, describing the achievement as a milestone that can further strengthen people-to-people ties between Nepal and Bangladesh.

According to a social post shared by the embassy on June 12, Deputy Chief of Mission Lalita Silwal attended a flag-in ceremony organized by the Bangladesh Mountaineering and Trekking Club (BMTC) to celebrate Nimni's successful summit of the world's highest peak on May 27.

Nimni became the third Bangladeshi woman to scale Mount Everest, marking another significant achievement for the country's growing mountaineering community.
