Bangladesh, June 23 -- The meeting was held at 2:20 pm local time at the Shangri-La hotel in Kuala Lumpur, according to the Prime Minister's Office press wing.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to boost trade, commerce, and investment ties between Bangladesh and Malaysia.

MMC Ports proposed expanding its investment footprint in Bangladesh by setting up manufacturing and production-oriented industries in the country.

Earlier, the prime minister had arrived in Kuala Lumpur on June 21 for a two-day official visit. After wrapping up the trip, he departed for Dalian, China, in the afternoon of June 22 and reached the Chinese city at 11:05 pm local time.
