Bangladesh, June 3 -- Figures from the Government of Dubai Media Office showed the airline has carried more than 140 million passengers since beginning operations.

flydubai currently operates a fleet of 97 aircraft and expects to receive 12 more during the second half of 2026.

Founded in 2008, flydubai was established to improve connectivity between Dubai and underserved regional markets. Over the years, it expanded across the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, Europe, and South Asia.

The airline has also played a key role in Dubai's aviation and tourism sectors by opening direct routes to destinations with previously limited air links to the emirate.
