Bangladesh, July 2 -- Dhaka: Etihad Airways has confirmed its Abu Dhabi-Dhaka service will now operate year-round, citing strong demand since the route's launch, as the airline also boosts capacity on several other services across its network.

The Abu Dhabi-Dhaka route, which was earlier announced to run as a seasonal service until October 24, launched on June 26 with a sold-out inaugural flight. It currently runs four times a week with the Boeing 777, offering 28 business and 374 economy seats.

The airline said the route carries substantial belly-hold cargo supporting trade between the two countries, alongside serving the large Bangladeshi community across the UAE.
