Emirates revises Skywards Miles expiry rules
Bangladesh, Aug. 28 -- Dubai-based UAE national carrier Emirates is overhauling how it calculates the expiry of Miles earned through its frequent flyer program, Skywards, effective next year.
Under the new policy, Miles will remain valid for three years from the date they are earned, whether through a flight or a partner activity, rounded to the end of that month.
This replaces the existing method, in which Miles expire three years from the earning date, rounded to the end of the member's birth month.
The revised rule will apply only to Miles earned from June 1, 2027, onward. Miles already in members' accounts, or earned before that date, will remain unaffected and will continue to expire under the current birth-month-based system.
