Bangladesh, Aug. 25 -- The Dubai-based airline's international capacity was around 21 percent higher than second-placed Ryanair, which logged approximately 25.7 billion ASKs during the month.

ASKs, a widely used measure of airline capacity, are calculated by multiplying the number of seats available for sale by the distance flown.

United Airlines came in third globally with about 22.8 billion ASKs, trailed by Turkish Airlines with roughly 21.5 billion. Qatar Airways took fifth spot with around 21 billion ASKs, while Delta Air Lines ranked sixth with approximately 17 billion.
