Bangladesh, Aug. 16 -- Eastern Bank PLC (EBL), the lead bank of Moulvibazar district, organized an "Open Credit Distribution and Seminar 2026" to expand access to formal financing for low-income and underserved communities.

Held under the guidance of Bangladesh Bank, the program brought together representatives from 40 scheduled banks operating in the district. The initiative aimed to promote financial inclusion by making credit more accessible to small entrepreneurs, farmers, low-income earners and people engaged in various professions.
