Bangladesh, Aug. 26 -- A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight has remained on the ground at Muscat International Airport after a passenger died following an in-flight medical emergency. The flight, BG136, is awaiting clearance from Omani authorities to remove the passenger's body.

BG136 was traveling from Jeddah to Dhaka via Chattogram on August 26 when the passenger's condition deteriorated. The crew subsequently diverted the aircraft to Muscat and made an emergency landing, but the passenger did not survive.

Following the aircraft's arrival, Biman contacted the Royal Oman Police to obtain permission to remove the body. The airline said it will complete the required formalities once permission is granted.
