Air India, Thai Airways sign MoU to deepen partnership
Bangladesh, June 9 -- The MoU was signed on June 7 on the sidelines of the IATA Annual General Meeting in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The two Star Alliance member carriers intend to enter into a codeshare agreement in 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. Under the arrangement, Air India and THAI plan to place their respective designator codes - "AI" and "TG" - on each other's flights between India and Thailand.
The codeshare is also expected to extend to select international routes from both countries, giving passengers convenient access to destinations across Asia, North America, and Europe.
