India, April 15 -- Security forces have intensified vigil across Jammu and Kashmir in the run-up to the first anniversary of the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, in which 26 civilians, including 25 tourists, were killed after terrorists reportedly identified victims based on their religious identity.

The security grid has been reinforced along the International Border and the Line of Control (LoC), amid intelligence inputs suggesting attempts by handlers based in Pakistan to infiltrate small groups of heavily armed militants into Indian territory to carry out surprise attacks.
