Neeraj Chopra Wins Silver, India Secures Double Podium in CWG 2026 Javelin
India, Aug. 1 -- Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra clinched the silver medal in the men's javelin throw at the Commonwealth Games 2026, registering a season-best throw of 85.83m. India also celebrated a second medal in the event as Yash Vir Singh claimed bronze with a personal best of 85.41m, marking a memorable double podium finish for the country.
The gold medal was won by Sri Lanka's Rumesh Pathirage, who produced an outstanding throw of 89.75m, setting a new benchmark in the competition and emerging as one of Asia's leading javelin throwers.
