Haryana suspends S+4 floor approvals
India, July 22 -- The Haryana Town and Country Planning Department has put the implementation of the state's stilt-plus-four (S+4) floor policy on hold until further orders, as the Punjab and Haryana High Court continues to hear petitions challenging the policy. The decision has come as a setback for property developers and homeowners awaiting approvals.
In a memorandum issued on July 21, 2026 the department directed the Chief Administrator of Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP), the Managing Director of Haryana State Infrastructure and Industrial Development Corporation (HSIIDC), and the Director, Urban Local Bodies, to suspend all approvals related to S+4 residential buildings.
