India, Aug. 28 -- The Haryana Government has come out with a major action plan to address waterlogging. For the first time, camera-based inspections have ensured de-silting of drains.

Water harvesting wells have been installed at most of the 99 identified waterlogging points, recharging approximately 13,000 metric liters of rainwater.

A new drain has been constructed on the Jaipur-Delhi Highway at Hero Honda Chowk. Encroachments at Legs 1, 2, and 3 have been removed and cleaned, and Leg 4 has been made operational. The State Government claims that this has resolved the waterlogging problem in Gurugram.
