Court denies bail to Farooq Abdullah attack accused
India, July 18 -- A court in Jammu on Friday rejected the bail application of Kamal Singh, who is accused of attempting to murder former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah during a wedding function earlier this year.
The Principal Sessions Court, Jammu, dismissed the bail plea, observing that the seriousness of the allegations, concerns over public safety and the possibility of the accused repeating the offence outweighed the grounds raised by the defence.
