India, Aug. 4 -- A joint anti-terror operation by the Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and CRPF continued for the fourth consecutive day on Monday in the Akhal area of south Kashmir's Kulgam district.
The encounter began on Friday after security forces received intelligence inputs about the presence of a group of heavily armed terrorists in the dense forested region. So far, two terrorists have been reported killed. While the body of one local militant has been recovered, the second body is yet to be retrieved due to ongoing firing and the difficult terrain.
