New Delhi, May 5 -- US-based AI firm Uniphore has entered into a strategic partnership with Indian IT services firm LTM to jointly develop industry- and domain-specific artificial intelligence (AI) solutions, as enterprises increasingly shift towards smaller, purpose-built models for core business processes.

Uniphore has a significant India presence, with major operations and talent hubs across cities such as Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, supporting its global AI development and delivery.

Under the partnership, Uniphore's Business AI Cloud will power LTM's BlueVerse ecosystem, enabling the development of small language models (SLMs) and AI agents tailored to enterprise workflows. The collaboration aims to integrate enterprise data, models and AI agents on a secure platform with built-in governance, compliance and data sovereignty.

The companies will initially focus on sectors such as banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), manufacturing, and media and entertainment. Use cases will span financial planning and analysis (FP&A), contract intelligence, outbound logistics, workforce transformation and contact centre operations.

The move comes amid a broader shift in enterprise AI adoption, with organisations prioritising domain-specific, controllable models over large, general-purpose systems to drive measurable business outcomes.

As part of the agreement, LTM will lead industry implementation and client delivery, while Uniphore will provide the underlying AI infrastructure and model development capabilities. LTM will also deploy Uniphore's platform internally to accelerate its own transformation and improve implementation timelines for clients.

"The world's largest enterprises want AI that delivers real business impact in their core workflows," said Umesh Sachdev, chief executive officer and co-founder of Uniphore, adding that the partnership will help translate enterprise data and knowledge into measurable outcomes. Venu Lambu, CEO and managing director of LTM, said the collaboration would help move AI "from intent to execution" across critical business domains, with a focus on scalability and reliability.

The companies plan to commercialise the jointly developed solutions and expand into additional industries over time, with a focus on long-term customer adoption and continuous refinement of offerings.
