New Delhi, April 1 -- Bengaluru-headquartered IT infrastructure services firm Microland on Wednesday appointed Sam Mathew as its chief executive officer, marking a leadership transition as the company doubles down on AI-led and platform-driven growth.
Mathew, who has served as president for the past 18 months, takes over the top role after leading key global markets and strategic initiatives. During his tenure as president, he helped deepen client relationships, scale platform-led services, and strengthen the company's focus on artificial intelligence, automation, and autonomous operations.
Founder Pradeep Kar said the leadership change is aligned with Microland's long-term strategy to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving technology landscape. He added that Mathew's leadership and customer-centric approach position the company well to expand its role as a strategic partner for global enterprises navigating AI-driven transformation.
As CEO, Mathew will steer Microland's global business and growth agenda, with a focus on expanding its AI-first, platform-led offerings, strengthening strategic client partnerships, and accelerating innovation-led growth.
"I am honoured to take on this responsibility," Mathew said, noting that the company will continue to prioritise innovation, customer success, and building a resilient, future-ready organisation.
The transition comes at a time when IT infrastructure services providers are increasingly pivoting towards AI-led automation and autonomous operations to drive efficiency and differentiation. Microland has been positioning itself in this space through its AIOps platform and investments in agentic AI capabilities.
Kar, who founded the company over three decades ago, will continue to remain closely involved, guiding strategy, culture, and key client and partner relationships.
Microland operates in more than 100 countries, offering services across digital networks, cloud, data centres, workplace solutions, and cybersecurity. The company has built a reputation for long-term client relationships and delivery-focused operations, and is now seeking to reinforce that positioning with a sharper focus on AI-driven infrastructure services.
