New Delhi, May 12 -- IT firm L&T Technology Services and Emerson on Tuesday announced a global partnership to jointly develop engineering and test automation solutions for sectors including industrial manufacturing, transportation, semiconductors, aerospace and defence.

Under the partnership, LTTS will act as a global system integrator and technology development partner for Emerson's NI test and measurement platform, supporting the design, deployment and lifecycle management of advanced engineering systems across industries.

The collaboration will target sectors including industrial manufacturing, transportation, semiconductors, aerospace and defence, where companies are increasingly investing in software-defined engineering environments, automation and validation systems.

As part of the engagement, LTTS will set up a dedicated Centre of Excellence (CoE) at its Mysuru campus based on Emerson's NI test platform. The facility will serve as a hub for joint solution development, industrialisation, engineering validation and test automation initiatives.

The companies said the partnership would also include joint go-to-market initiatives, development of industry-specific solutions, licence enablement and extended customer support programmes.

The move comes at a time when engineering services firms are expanding beyond traditional ER&D work into higher-value areas such as AI-led industrial automation, software-defined products, digital twins and intelligent testing platforms. Global enterprises across automotive, semiconductor and industrial sectors are also accelerating investments in resilient and sustainable engineering infrastructure.

Ritu Favre, President of Emerson's Test and Measurement business, said engineering environments were becoming increasingly "software defined, data centric and interconnected," adding that the open and modular NI platform would help organisations manage system complexity and accelerate validation cycles.

"Through our collaboration with LTTS as a global system integrator, we extend this platform into industry-specific implementations that help customers move from engineering uncertainty to operational confidence," Favre said. Alind Saxena, Executive Director & President - Strategic Initiatives & Growth Markets at LTTS, said customers in mobility, sustainability and technology sectors were demanding more intelligent and adaptable engineering systems.

"By combining NI's technology leadership with LTTS' engineering depth, we are creating a powerful foundation for long-term value creation across industrial ecosystems," Saxena said.

The partnership further strengthens LTTS's positioning in the fast-growing engineering transformation and industrial digitisation market, where enterprises are increasingly looking for integrated partners capable of combining software, automation, testing and platform engineering capabilities.
