New Delhi, Aug. 12 -- The firms will jointly offer consulting, implementation and managed services as mid-sized and large enterprises look to replace fragmented technology systems with integrated cloud platforms.

KPMG in India and enterprise software provider Zoho have entered into a strategic alliance to jointly offer cloud and artificial intelligence-led transformation services to Indian enterprises, as businesses seek to integrate fragmented technology systems and scale automation across operations.

The partnership will combine KPMG India's consulting and implementation capabilities with Zoho's portfolio of more than 60 cloud-based business applications. The companies will primarily target mid-market and large enterprises looking to modernise operations while addressing data privacy, residency and governance requirements.

Under the alliance, KPMG and Zoho will work across the enterprise transformation lifecycle, including technology strategy, implementation and managed services. The partnership will operate through multiple commercial models, covering joint service delivery, managed services and the resale of Zoho products alongside KPMG-led consulting offerings.

The companies also plan to jointly develop industry-specific solutions and pursue client engagements through coordinated sales and delivery teams. However, they did not disclose any financial details, revenue targets or specific industry verticals being prioritised under the alliance.

The partnership comes as enterprises move beyond the adoption of standalone software tools towards integrated platforms that connect customer management, finance, human resources, collaboration, analytics and other business functions. Disconnected applications and siloed data have also emerged as impediments to deploying AI across enterprise workflows.

"Businesses in India are sitting on enormous potential to scale digitally, but disparate tools, siloed data, and integration hassles hold most of them back," said Bishan Singh, director of the global partner programme at Zoho. "This broken digital foundation also limits how far AI initiatives can scale."

Singh said the alliance would combine Zoho's technology stack with KPMG India's advisory expertise to develop integrated cloud solutions supporting automation, collaboration and data-driven decision-making.

Zoho has been expanding its presence in the enterprise software market, competing with global providers across customer relationship management, finance, workplace collaboration, human resources and low-code application development. Its ability to own and operate large parts of its underlying technology stack has also become central to its pitch as businesses scrutinise how cloud and AI providers store, process and govern corporate data.

According to Singh, Zoho's ownership of its technology stack, including its embedded AI layer, would allow enterprises to adopt AI without compromising on privacy, data residency or governance as India's regulatory requirements become more stringent.

Unaise Urfi, partner for digital solutions and strategy at KPMG in India, said the partnership would help enterprises connect technology adoption more closely with strategic business priorities.

"By bringing together our advisory-led expertise with Zoho's scalable cloud solutions, the collaboration is intended to help organisations explore a more integrated approach to transformation initiatives," Urfi said.

For KPMG India, the alliance expands the pool of enterprise technology platforms around which it can build consulting, implementation and managed-service engagements. For Zoho, it provides access to KPMG's enterprise relationships and advisory-led transformation programmes, potentially strengthening its ability to compete for larger and more complex deployments.

The two companies said they would also collaborate on joint marketing, industry events and the identification of new enterprise opportunities.
