New Delhi, April 27 -- Archimedis Digital, a Chennai-based IT services company, has announced plans to double its workforce within the next 12 months, with hiring concentrated in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science roles.
The company, which currently employs between 250 and 300 people, will direct roughly half of all new hires toward AI and data-related functions. The remaining positions will cover life sciences domain expertise and core engineering.
Central to this expansion is the company's AI Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Tiruchirappalli, which has been designated as its primary growth location. The facility focuses on building AI and machine learning solutions for use cases in pharmacovigilance, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation - areas that carry strict oversight requirements in pharmaceutical and biotech environments.
Duraisamy Rajan Palani, Founder & CEO, Archimedis Digital, said, "Our Center of Excellence is designed to ensure AI is always guided by human expertise and aligned with evolving regulatory requirements. By combining domain knowledge with scalable AI solutions, we help simplify compliance while delivering practical outcomes and maintaining high standards of clinical and operational integrity."
The company's hiring approach deliberately targets talent outside major metros. Tiruchirappalli is being positioned as the main talent hub, with the company drawing candidates from varied socioeconomic backgrounds and providing structured training to develop sector-specific skills. The intent is to reduce attrition and build institutional knowledge rather than compete on the standard tech hiring circuit.
Archimedis Digital's Chennai office remains its headquarters, but Tiruchirappalli is expected to carry most of the headcount growth through 2027.
