Srilanka, April 19 -- The 2026 "Walk for Peace", a seven-day symbolic pilgrimage led by the Most Ven. Pannakara Thera, is scheduled to commence on Tuesday (21), drawing attention to the values of harmony, compassion and mindful living.

The Walk for Peace in Sri Lanka, follows the successful conclusion of the historic 15-week, 3,700 Km Walk for Peace which spanned across several US States from Texas to Washington, DC earlier in the year.

The walk will begin with religious observances in Anuradhapura, before proceeding across key locations including Dambulla, Matale and Kandy.

The procession will then traverse through Kegalle and Yakkala, concluding at Independence Square in Colombo on April 28.
