Sri Lanka, May 17 -- The 17th commemoration of the end of Sri Lanka's three-decade-long conflict will take place on Tuesday (19) at 3 pm at the War Heroes Memorial at the Parliament Grounds, under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

Chairman of the Ranaviru Seva Authority Brigadier (Rtd) S. B. Kohana told a media briefing at the Government Information Department on Thursday (14) that this year's commemoration will have several changes. Accordingly, there will be no military parade as part of the commemoration.

This year's commemoration event will draw over 2,700 attendees, including members of the Tri Forces, Police, Civil Security Department, National Cadet Corps, family members of fallen soldiers, foreign dignitaries ...
