SriLanka, Sept. 13 -- SLNS Sindurala departed the island last week to participate in the bilateral naval exercise SLINEX 2026 between the navies of Sri Lanka and India.

The annual exercise is due to be held in Visakhapatnam, India, from September 14 (tomorrow) to 18. It aims to enhance interoperability, strengthen mutual cooperation and facilitate the exchange of professional knowledge and expertise between the two navies.

Director Naval Operations, Commodore Athula Jayaweera supervised the departure proceedings, as SLNS Sindurala was accorded a customary naval send-off at the Port of Colombo prior to its departure.
