Six Tamil-speaking political parties seek meeting with the President
Srilanka, July 26 -- The recently formed common platform of six major political parties representing Tamil-speaking communities in Sri Lanka have requested a meeting with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to discuss issues of national importance concerning the common challenges faced by Tamil-speaking people.
The request was made in an official letter sent to the President by representatives of the parties following a special meeting held at the Parliament complex this week.
