SriLanka, Sept. 13 -- Illankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) Parliamentarian Shanakiyan Rasamanickam has questioned how the Colombo Port City Economic Commission has functioned for nearly two years without a Legal Director, raising concerns over its legal oversight, decision-making and transparency.

Rasamanickam, while raising questions with the Minister of Finance and Planning, in Parliament on Friday, said the prolonged vacancy was particularly concerning given the Commission's wide-ranging legal and regulatory responsibilities.
