SriLanka, March 22 -- Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said that the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) and the United National Party (UNP) are set to join forces to set up a 'people-friendly' Government aimed at addressing the grievances of 22 million Sri Lankans suffering from past misguided decisions.
He was addressing the 84th birth anniversary event of late Minister Gamini Dissanayake in Colombo on Friday (20).
The Leader of the Opposition stressed the urgent need to move beyond traditional Right-wing and Left-wing political labels. He called for the strengthening of a 'Common People's Front' that prioritises national food security, agricultural prosperity and granting land ownership to the landless.
