Public confidence in democratic structures intact - CPA survey
Srilanka, July 12 -- Public confidence in Sri Lanka's democratic governance remains largely positive, with strong approval ratings for the Government and President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
However, many people continue to struggle with the Cost of Living (COL) and household finances, according to the latest Democratic Governance Confidence Index released by the Centre for Policy Alternatives' (CPA) Social Indicator Survey (SIS).
The nationwide survey, conducted between May 23 and June 18, this year covered 1,240 respondents across all 25 districts. It measured public opinion on governance, the economy, institutional reforms and national issues.
