SriLanka, April 12 -- Sri Lanka's domestic season has thrown up a standout power-hitter as Sachitha Jayatilake finished as the leading six-hitter in the SLC Major League Cricket Tournament 2025/26, underlining his growing reputation as one of the most destructive batsmen in the country's First-Class circuit.
In a format that usually rewards patience and long stays at the crease, Jayatilake changed the script with bold, attacking cricket. The 29-year-old right-hander smashed a tournament-high 25 sixes in just nine innings, finishing ahead of established names like Pavan Ratnayake and Dinesh Chandimal, who also had productive seasons with the bat.
