SriLanka, May 24 -- The National Vesak Festival will commence on May 27 at 2 pm under the auspices of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Midellalawala Purana Raja Maha Vihara, Thihagoda, Matara. This year's festival will be observed on the theme Abhiththaretha Kalyane "Let's rise for the common good".

Programs on the theme, "A Healthy Life," will focus on promoting physical well-being, mental balance, and spiritual development in line with Buddhist teachings.
