Srilanka, Oct. 18 -- Sri Lanka will introduce mandatory timelines and streamlined procedures for approvals and services provided by State institutions to businesses and the public, as part of efforts to improve the country's business environment, accelerate growth and create jobs, Senior Additional Secretary to the President and Head of the National Business Facilitation Centre (NBFC) Seevali Arukgoda told Sunday Observer Business.

He said the directive, under the signature of the Secretary to the President, is expected to be issued to Government agencies, for them to review and simplify their existing processes and publish step-by-step procedures, including the documents required and the timeframes for completing each process.
