Century of community healthcare
Sri Lanka, July 19 -- Sri Lanka's community health service, which has played a key role in strengthening the country's healthcare system, will mark its centenary celebrations on July 21 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake will attend the event as the chief guest, along with Health Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, local and international health sector experts and other invitees. A health exhibition highlighting the 100-year journey and achievements of Sri Lanka's community health service will also be held as part of the celebrations.
