Sri Lanka, Aug. 30 -- A father embraces his daughter in joy as the family receives the keys to their new home at the official handover ceremony of the Navodayagama Housing Project in Poonagala, Kabaragala. The project, built for 50 families who lost their homes in the March 2023 landslide, comprises 50 fully equipped houses, each approximately 550 square feet, constructed on individual 10-perch plots.
