Mysuru, May 26 -- City lad B.B. Vishal Uthappa bagged bronze medal in the singles and silver in mixed doubles pairing with Hansika Rakesh of Mysuru at the Karnataka State Ranking Sub-Junior (U-15 & U-17) Badminton Tournament jointly organised by Karnataka Badminton Association and Vijayapura District Badminton Association at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stadium in Vijayapura recently.

Both Vishal Uthappa (a native of Kodagu) and Hansika Rakesh are 9th standard students at Pragathi Elite Public School in Mysuru.

Currently, they are training at Pullela Gopichand Academy in Hyderabad under the Grass Root programme.
