Mysuru, Oct. 23 -- Extended illumination, weekend contribute to crowding in Mysuru

Tourist footfall in Mysuru has remained high even after the Dasara festivities with the extended illumination and the coming weekend expected to draw more visitors.

Many tourists who came to witness the Jumboo Savari have stayed back to enjoy the extended illumination and visit the Dasara Exhibition Grounds. They are also arriving in large numbers to see the illuminated streets. The city's illumination will continue for 10 days beyond the original schedule.

Mysuru Zoo, Mysore Palace and Chamundi Hill continue to attract visitors, while tourist destinations around the city, including Srirangapatna, KRS Dam and Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, have also seen ...
