Mysuru, Aug. 4 -- The protests in the city over the omission of 6-time NR Constituency MLA Tanveer Sait from D.K. Shivakumar Cabinet continued for the second day today, with supporters of the senior Congress MLA staging a demonstration at Buddha Circle in Kyathamaranahalli.

"MLA Tanveer Sait has been a loyal soldier of the Congress having been elected 6 consecutive times from NR Assembly segment of the city since 2002. The senior MLA should have been considered for a Cabinet berth. But this has not happened, which has forced his supporters to hit the streets. We appeal the Congress High Command to appoint Sait as a Cabinet Minister at least for the remaining term of the current Assembly and render justice to him," the irate protesters ma...
