Students devise Solar-Powered Smart Scarecrow
Mysuru, Aug. 17 -- Young innovators of Coorg Public School (COPS), Gonikoppa, have built a Solar-Powered Smart Scarecrow for Indian farmers
This smart crop protection system aims at helping farmers reduce crop damage caused by birds and wild animals.
The student-built prototype uses solar energy, a solar tracking panel, PIR motion sensors, an Arduino controller and a sea shell horn to automatically detect the movement of birds and animals and safely scare them away without causing any harm. The system is eco-friendly, energy-efficient and designed to reduce the need for constant human supervision while protecting valuable crops.
