Mysuru, Nov. 8 -- MCC signs MoUs to plant two lakh native saplings

The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with SBI Foundation, CATCH Foundation, SBI Bank and Enviro Creators Foundation to develop dense urban forests in six parks within the city under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

The project, titled 'Bharat Van,' will cover six parks, including K.C. Layout Park, where 45,000 saplings of native species will be planted across 4.5 acres. Of these, CATCH Foundation will plant 40,000 saplings across four acres, while Enviro Creators Foundation will take up the plantation of 5,000 saplings across half an acre.
