Mysuru, Nov. 2 -- Two Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) officials, including a Junior Engineer, have been suspended over the Sept. 22 electrical accident near Jockey Quarters in Mysuru, in which Junior Powerman M. Karthik sustained serious injuries.

The suspended officials are L. Shivakumar, a Junior Engineer at the Vidyaranyapuram branch and M. Chandru, a Line Mechanic.

Karthik, a native of Nanjapura village in Hunsur taluk, was working in the CESC Vidyaranyapuram Division. He sustained severe burns after an electric shock while carrying out maintenance work at Jockey Quarters near Kurubarahalli Circle.
