Mysuru, Sept. 23 -- Maintaining that Pourakarmikas are indeed the Ambassadors of cleanliness and hygiene, MP Yaduveer Wadiyar said Pourakarmikas play a critical role in realising the concept of 'Viksit Bharat.'

He was speaking after inaugurating 'Pourakarmika Day' organised by the MCC at Kalamandira on Hunsur Road this morning.

Highlighting the strenuous efforts of Pourakarmikas in keeping the city clean, Yaduveer said they are indeed the drivers of cleanliness while we are only motivators. Lauding them for their work, he wished that Mysuru regains 'Cleanest City' tag, which it had bagged twice in the past.
