No more 'urine spot' on Sayyaji Rao Road
Mysuru, Aug. 11 -- Flower pots, clean walls, decorated benches replace stinky footpath
Finally, there seems to be relief from the foul smell of urine emanating from the compound wall of Mysuru Medical College and Research Institute (MMC&RI) along a stretch of footpath on New Sayyaji Rao Road, which had turned unsightly due to regular public urination. The MCC, led by Commissioner M.K. Savitha, has now sanitised and cleaned the area.
The walls have been painted with awareness messages on cleanliness, besides placing flower pots to beautify the spot. To discourage public urination, officials have also instructed that the timings of the nearby public toilets be extended.
