Mysuru, Oct. 9 -- The Mysore Bar Association greeted new Principal District and Sessions Court Judge B. Jayanth Kumar, who assumed office at a programme organised in the Association premises in District Law Courts Complex here recently.

Judge Jayanth Kumar replaces Justice Usharani, who was appointed as an Additional Judge of Karnataka High Court over a fortnight ago.

Speaking on the occasion, Judge Jayanth Kumar said that senior advocates must be respected and junior judges must be encouraged and doing so will help in the smooth conduct of legal proceedings. Sharing his experience while functioning at Tumakuru, he cited the example of a cinema in successful organisation of programmes and in developing team spirit.
