Mysuru, Nov. 3 -- Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar has urged Union Minister for Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat to expedite approval for the proposed Science Centre in Mysuru under the Scheme for Promotion of Culture of Science (SPoCS).

In a letter to the Union Minister, Yaduveer sought early clearance for the proposed Science Centre (Category-II, Model-B), stating that Mysuru was ideally suited for the project, given its strong educational and scientific base. He pointed out that the city is home to premier institutions such as the Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Defence Food Research Laboratory (DFRL) and the University of Mysore.
