MCC to develop two more Miyawaki Parks
Mysuru, Aug. 23 -- Parks opposite two schools at Rajivnagar to get 30,000 saplings
To boost biodiversity, reduce sweltering heat and control air pollution, Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has plans to develop two more parks using the Japanese-based Miyawaki method.
The Miyawaki method, which envisages the development of mini forests in urban landscapes, has already been adopted by MCC at its three parks - in Vijayanagar 3rd Stage, Jodi Bevina Mara Park at Dattagalli and Saalumarada Thimmakka Tree Park at Jayanagar - under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
