Mysuru, Aug. 5 -- Shop owners and roadside vendors blame each other

After a brief pause, Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) resumed clearing of footpath encroachments in city this morning.

MCC's Abhaya staff, equipped with necessary tools and equipment, started removing obstacles which were hampering safe and hassle-free movement of pedestrians on Sayyaji Rao Road which is one of the busiest roads in the heart of the city. A few days back, MCC had carried out footpath encroachment clearance drive in different parts of city following State Government's decision to clear encroachments after Supreme Court order, which was appreciated by Mysureans. Today's drive began from K.R. Circle and was done on both sides of the busy Sayyaji Rao Road.
