India, June 4 -- Residents hold meeting; resolve to plant over 2,000 saplings to enhance green cover

Mysuru, June 4 (PM&BS)- Ahead of World Environment Day slated for tomorrow (June 5), the residents of Yadavagiri have resolved to plant over 2,000 saplings and nurture them.This was decided at a meeting of Yadavagiri residents convened at a park in the locality recently, under the Chairmanship of Mysore Grahakara Parishat (MGP) Working President S.K. Dinesh. Over 80 residents of the locality attended the meeting.Several other issues related to the locality were also discussed at the meeting.The residents endorsed the proposal that was tabled to plant the saplings in open places within the locality, to further enhance the green cover.
